Fawaz Afishah Song

I cannot understand one word, but i like this piece.
The rhythm and tune is so catchy to me. it reminds me of cigarbox guitaring.
What style is this?
Are any other songs like this?
Thanx.

Definitely an Arabian Gulf style. Fouad Al-Kibsi is my favorite Yemeni oud player and singer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr5aTlQgaYA Not exactly the style in the video you posted, but similar. I also love the music of Saudi singer/oudist Abadi Al-Johar, e.g. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDT2IOT8nU8

Good stuff John!
I wonder if it is leaning towards a sudanese style. I like the back and forth picking style from this Fawaz Afishah Song, almost like a clawhammer on banjo.
Here is an example of sudanese: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9SL3mBOgIM doesn't have the same tempo, but certainly the cigarbox sound i like.
I want to try to find more example and home in on it more.
