hi all
I know the ouds made by Abu Alla.
The first i saw is oud owned by Sameer Makhoul:a wonderfull oud Bashir style with an amazing sound!
He made an other for a student of Sameer with the same sound.
I think i'll be a futur client of Abu Alla.....

How should I do to buy oud that abu-alla makes?

I don't know him personnaly but i can tell you that he builds oud for many years.According to arabs israeli's oud players he is one of the best in the
area.
Once again ,i saw and heard only the bashir oud he built for my teacher Sameer Makhoul and i can tell you that the sound is amazing!
Today i spoke with an oud student of Sameer that order a bashir oud from abu alla and visited his workshop.....i told him to speak with abu alla and
tell him to give the forum more informations.

Hi all,
This is my first submission in the forum, although i was reading and enjoying it from the very beginning. Thanks Mike for this great site ;-)
Abu-A'ala is an oud maker from Baqa-Elgarbaia, he is building ouds for about 20 years. In the last 3-4 years he moved to build Bashir style ouds.
The sound of his ouds is magical, and as you can see in the pictures they are also very beatiful.
amarock -- maybe you can post a clip for Samir Makhoul playing Abu-A'ala oud?
