Classic songs in Maqam Sikah/Huzam (Arabic style)

Classic songs in Maqam Sikah/Huzam (Arabic style).

Hey everyone :).

Recently, I have been really appreciating pieces in maqam Huzam/Sikah (family) such as "Ghannili el shway shway" (sung by Oum Kalsoum) and "al-Atlal" (sung by Oum Kalsoum).
I am looking for more songs, particularly longer songs, in the Sikah family by such artists as Abdel Halim Hafez, Warda, Mohammed Abdel Wahab, Najat Al Saghira and lesser known singers.

Please share your favorite songs in this maqam!

I have scores of most of the songs mentioned here, but they are pretty much all short ones - http://www.maqamworld.com/en/maqam/huzam.php If folks want me to post scores of these, I will...let me know.

A good example is "Tala‘a al-Badru ‘Alayna," which is, like most songs I know in Huzzam, a short one. It's a religious qasida: http://muslimhymns.com/talaa-al-badru-alayna/

Hi Jono,

Two other famous and beautiful songs from Oum Kalthoum that are in Huzam/Rahat el Arwah are "Daret Al Ayyam" (composed by Abdelwahab) and "Siret el hob" (Baligh Hamdy)
However, I believe that "Gannili shway shway" is not in Huzam or Sikah but rather in Rast Suznak

Ghannili Shway Shway is in Rast Suznak.

There are many nice Muwashshahat in Sikah/Huzam, like Jadaka l-Ghaythu, Ayuha is-saqi, and Ya Ghusna Naqa.

Lughat i-Zuhuur aka Il Ward Gamil is a great longer song in Huzam.

Hey :).

Thank you all for your replies - much appreciated!
I will check out the songs and links.

Yes - I see, I was incorrect about Ghannili Shway Shway
Thanks Ahmed and Brian .

There are some cool modulations in this song (Ghannili Shway Shway) also.

Also, I found a song called "Tifreq Kiteer" sung by Najat Al Saghira in Huzam (I think).
It modulates to Saba and Ajam, a nice and interesting song also..

Another one in Huzam sung by Oum Kalsoum is Nahj El borda.

Any corrections and/or clarifications are welcome :).

I think you're right about "Tifreq Kiteer," but I'm not sure. One of our experts, like Brian P., can confirm. https://www.ahyasalam.com/play_song.php?songmd=5a7fd8f450b8cad179b30...

Ditto RE: "Nagd (Najd) El Borda" - https://www.ahyasalam.com/play_song.php?songmd=9680b35d942b0412f5125...
