Antique Oud
Turkish/Armenian design, similar to Manol ouds. Original maker unknown.
The face is spruce, the back ribs, neck and pegbox are claro walnut with maple trim. The fingerboard and beard are Indian rosewood and the pegs are
ebony. Roses and pickguard are plastic. Finished with tru-oil varnish.
String length is 60cm. Body length is 50cm, width is 35.5 cm and depth is 23.3 cm.
The tone is strong and balanced with bright trebles.

Oud was repaired by Paul Papazian, Bronx, New York, on Oct 12,1935, repair label is inside the bowl. The oud was recently repaired by Richard Hankey
