ebow will be hit or miss. i ve used it on electric guitars and love it, but it wont work with nylon stings, and doesnt work great on the wound strings... picup type also has some interaction with Ebow function as well.

I've never thought to try a capo on an OUD.
I have many capos and guitars(and 2 ouds), but never once thought
to try a capo on the OUD.
Very cool tip!
Matt

Hello Navid Norumba Mattoud and thanks for comments here and on youtube

I can see that the capo would deserve to be better known for the oud. It's true that to play it you can change the chord via an application (which one Navid?). Personally I use it also in Live because the oud is easier to play in some keys and for other keys, even in flat, a small capo is more than useful!
The Ebow is indeed not fully adapted to the oud because yes it works much better with magnetic microphones like electric guitar. However on my video I changed my nylon strings to metal strings. The core of the string has to be metal for it to work. A wired nylon string will not work with the ebow. And since there is no magnetic pickup, I think that a single string rather than a chorus is more suitable because it concentrates the magnetism of the ebow on one string. he battery of the ebow must be well charged too...

Here's a video from a while back where I did my ebow part better ;)
(oud with only metal strings)
