Oud restoration 1970 - Syrian oud
After stalking this forum for quite some time for tips on restoration and building, I’ve decided to take a crack at a family oud that has been in
pretty bad condition for years.
It belonged to a high ranking general in the Syrian Air Force. A family member of sorts. It was given to my uncle upon his passing and unfortunately
my uncle let it hang out for years in awful condition.
With the help of everyone in this forum I have managed to put Humpty Dumpty back together and it sounds stunning!!
I just wanted to thank everyone on the forum!!!

Excellent work and restoration back to life ????????. Some of these 1970s era Syrian ouds are great players. What is the action at the neck join like?
