measure the scale length, this is important in determining the correct strings. It will be between 58 and 62 cm.

On a very similar Sukar oud, I used the following strings with great success:
c': Aquila lute .58mm or .60mm
g: Aquila lute .73mm or .76mm
d: LaBella silverwound .023in
A: LaBella silverwound .027in
F: LaBella silverwound .033in
C: LaBella silverwound .043in
This should be a big improvement over any of the Pyramid packaged sets.
if you can't get LaBella where you live, you can use Pyramid Lute (much more expensive though):
d: Pyramid 10095 or 1109
A: Pyramid 1016 or 1116
F: Pyramid 1023
C: Pyramid 1236
Pyramid has a lot of options, where I put two options they are very close but the first is slightly lower tension.
Both of these are similar to sets used by Simon Shaheen.
You should be able to get any of these strings from Mustafa over at oudstrings.com
