I'm pleased to share my new solo album 'Abrash', released digitally on 2nd December on scatterArchive (Glasgow).
These six improvisations are mainly based on contemporary improvisation language and extended techniques, but here and there there are glimpses of
makam, and certainly the breath of taksim. I called it 'abrash', which refers to a deliberate deviation, a variation of colour in traditional carpet
weaving.
