Any advice on cutting a new nut and reaming pegs

Hey guys I decided to fit ebony pegs on my oud. I got a supply of some ebonies and I ordered a Martin full size violin reamer. Can anyone give me some advice on how to carefully perform this procedure?

Also while I am at it, I do have a blank bone nut and probably would like to make a new smoother one. The one that came with the oud is a little rough on the edges. Is this something I could do on my own? Advice on this will be great too.

Thanks guys,

Rami

Do a search here for pegs and reaming. There have been lots of posts about it, with links.

Same for the nut, do a search.

You could also buy Richard Hankey's book, and have pretty-much all your questions answered forever....
