The name of the instrument is Bouzouki and this site i must admit that doesnt have something special(the instruments for sale are of tourist
quality).For the people who are interested in some bouzouki sites (although its a little bit off this forum) with luthiers or forums i could

Oh, big mistake, yes, of course, bouzouki, not bazouki, nor bazooki (but even if I spellled it incorrectly I am sure that it was most obviously
understood) and it should have read http://www.bouzouki.com Thank You for the correction and the other sites. BTW, got to ask what the price is for a good professional bouzouki.
The site that I refered to has prices $700 to $3750, pretty steep for a tourist quality instrument.

Andy of course i understood your mistake 
The bouzoukis of this site (most of them) seem to be of poor quality (these of the fotos).
So to answer to your question.A good professional bouzouki from a well-known greek maker (from Greece not from USA or Australian - there are greek
bouzouki makers there too) costs from 1400 euros (the simple ones with not so many abalone-mop decorations) to 2000-2500 (full of abalone or mother of
pearl).My opinion these simple professional ones are the best sounding.

This is my 6-string bouzouki (the main instrument of rembetiko music)made from Yannis Alexandris of Thessaloniki.The bowl is made of kelebek (maple i
think) and the inlay of the fretboard is silver and abalone.

Nikos, a very beautiful bouzouki and simple, the way I love my ouds to be very simple. I guess I could say simply beautiful. Yes it looks like maple

Nikos. Do you know of any baglama/six string
bouzouki makers in Greece? I'm looking for a baglama, but in the future I would like a six string bouzouki. Regards

Hi Nikos , You are not Nikos Amarianos the singer ? He is my Friend use to sing at Port of athens in Studio City ,california and now he is in Las
vegas.
Any way I was trying to buy a good Buzuki To have it with my Instrument collection ,I love the sound and not sure how defecult is to learn playing the
instrument ,I am now
Taking Oud lessons ,but any sugetions a real Good Buzuki where to order (IN Greece ) and have it shippet to the USA .Can you sugest any one with a

As i understand that you like the more "traditional" bouzoukis (baglamas,tzoura and 6string bouzoukis) i would recommend Alexio Rotskos from
Thessaloniki ( http://xiloihos.com/eg/ ) or Spourdalakis from Athens http://www.music-instruments.gr/en/frameset.html

Efheristo Spyros and Nikos. This is great help. I first fell in love with baglama and six stringed bouzouki music when I got the chanse to play a
friend of mine's baglama which she got from her uncle Apostoli in Athens. It's a well made baglama but I'm not sure who the maker is. Thanks again.
