looks like best seler of Alaseel

Palisander....That is a great oud , sounds great and looks great....

Now Maurice is shipping by ARAMEX and UPS takes over here in the USA and the ouds are getting safe no damages ...That is great and your ouds gets here same day from Egypt since flights are direct Egypt New York. And then second day or depends how it is shipped .But great service.

It's going great. My mother has fell in love with the sound of the oud. I am planning on making some compositions using traditional Appalachian melodies on the oud... kind of melding my home's music with the sound of the oud that I love so much.

Jason, that sounds like an awsome idea. You ought to post some of that when possible. I would love to hear it.
When I first got an oud about 8 years ago, I tried to do blues stuff on it--BB King, TBone Walker, that kind of stuff. I still love doing American standards on the oud--Over the Rainbow, Stardust, whatever. I think the oud can sound just awesome when it is used to perform material not typically associated with it.
