Does any 1 know how to do Ivory Risha?

Hello All

A Question for the expert

I have bought some ivory strips that were used in an old piano but can they be turned to rishas? and how.

If anybody can tell me the steps please.

I don't think ivory can work for rishas because they will be rock hard and "stiff" - I tried to use a polished bone "risha" once and ,though I suppose its possible, there isn't ANY give at all so its very difficult to get any action on the string.
