Strange oud

Stambaugh Designs

Looking for something else on internet and found this site. This page has a remarkable-looking oud at the bottom of the picture. Seems to have some sympathetic strings added (I think....).

Vince,

I think the instrument that is claimed to be oud-like is the circular bodied thing at the top right of the page. The instrument at the bottom is supposed to be some type of hybrid Indian sarod.

Hmmmm....maybe.

Actually both are strung like ouds rather than a sarod (apart from the sympathetic strings, of course).

Either way, they're interesting instruments.
