STRINGS
hey all...my oud need a set of new strings..i noticed how theres only one nylon string and the rest are all metal wound.its a 5 coarse. i usually
purchase my strings at the pyramid shop in germany...but i dont think they make them how i want them which is 1st nylon and rest all metal wound..ne
ideas fellas?

Hi Sagr,
Just make sure that you DO NOT get a Turkish set if you use Arabic tuning.
I also got a LaBella set from Ebay.

AVOID THE D'ADDRIO!!!!!
I think our wonderful friend Dr. Oud can send you an Acquila set. I am going to install one in my oud soon.

Hi Sagr,
I take back my comment about the D'Addario strings. I just contacted Maurice in Cairo and he kindly explained why I had a problem which was really a
mistake at my end.
I started using the Acquila set from Dr. oud and will let you know about the result once I have the oud fully tuned.

Sayed Hatem Masa elghyr. I think that Maurice is using LA BELLA arabic strings 12 strings .I was told by MIKE IT is so :Botom to
top....f4,c4,g3,D3,A2,F2 THAT WILL BE ON A SHEHATA OUD WITH THE STRINGS(LA BELLA) THAT CAME WITH THE OUD.

They do make them ,They are LUTE Historical strings,And a set is $55.00 I just ordered a few months ago 5 sets and I jaust plased another one for
anothr 5 sets for now they are closed will be open on Jan 8th for business. If you need the numbers of the strings you have to order send me U2U I do
not want to post them here.
