thanks

peyman , How are you ?

Yes it is . I got it last December .

I used 440mhz on tuner , if its what you mean.

by the way I heard (from Ostad) that you have a Mohamadi and want to sell it , is that right?

What do you want to get instead?

Hi Ali,
I think you meant Pouya. I think he has a couple of barbats. Hopefully I can get a Mohammadi barbat next year (or make one myself ;) ). I have a Turkish oud and a cumbus.

Hi

Hi Arsalan
thanks ,

I Use Aquila strings , Aquila sounds good on my Mohamadi barbat , but I have a Nariman Oud and that doesn't sound
good with Aquila , So I guess it's pretty much about the instrument and what kind of string soud better on it.

Thanks again

Hi Ali

I'm Oud-Beginner. A simple question: Are you playing alone? It
sounds like a little orchestra, minimum 2 persons.

HI

Hi
Oh Thanks , its is not a little orchestra , I play alone , but I use almost all empty places to play with my bass . it is a skill but will be gained by more practice .
Thanks again .

Hi Ali again

Again i heard your peace, it's amazing. :applause:It seemed
to me you touch with your plectrum the high tones
an the basses in the same time. But you change very
quickly.
Another question:
We in western music have only Dur and Moll-tonality.
In oriential music you have the maqam's. Now the question:
can you play freely or are you bound to play in a certain
maqam. Sorry, i'm greenhorn in arabic music, but i'm curious.

Greetings
Alfred

Thanks for complement .

well ye , let me start with this :

for more specific about Arabic maqams you would want to talk to an Arab musisian . becouse frankly I don't know much about Arabis maqams either .
I am from Iran( Persia ) , and play Iranian( persian ) Music .

Arabic , Persian & Indias . Musics are three major existing forms of Oriental Music and with all common things they have , they are generaly quit different .

A Persian Maqams is called DASTGAH and and has its own construction ( we have seven major dastgahs and five minor Dastgahs [called Avaz] ), .

Indian maqam is called RAGA .

Back to your question :
for short I'm not sure about Arabic maqams but in Persian Music we can move from a Maqam (Dastgah ) to another.
It has to be done right way otherwise the piece will sound bad .but its right ways are pretty simple and doable .

you can visit My website ( www.oudiran.com )
I have some information about Iranian style Oud .

I hope I could help .

Thanks again
