Ammar el Sherei Taqsim

Check out this taqsim for Ammar el-Sherei. He was a big Farid el-Atrache admirer. This is from one of his remakes for Farido of El Rabiih. I took only the taqsim from the whole track. Listen to his oud, and try to ignore the background keyboards. ;)

Mike

Note: The last note sounds off b/c I cropped the track from the remainder of the remake.

Mike, what can i say, Thank you.

u cant imagine how much respect i have for ammar el shraiei, he just one of those muscian that u cant find these days. extremly talnted and force you to respect him.
he is like a human encyclopedia of music, his show "gawas fe bahr el nagam" is incredible, u cant imagine how much information u can learn from him in every episode.
anyway, i know that he is one of the biggest fans of Farido, i have a show about Farido, and ammar was one of the people who was talking about him, and he said he learned the oud by imitating Farido taqaseem, and he used to compete with his friend who can play Farido the best. also in that show he played an amazing taqaseem (i will try to find that vedio tape and upload the file)

Happy new year :applause:

Jaber,

He is a great oud player. Anyone like Farido, and I'm hooked. I would very much like to see that video should you find it.

ALLAAAAAH!

I'm in the middle of the clip right now, and I just had to post. He's great! He does a great job in this! And of course, we all know that he's a great musician.

I wish there was a way to get rid of the keyboards in the back though. It'd be nice to hear him play by himself. But even like this, it's fantastic.

Thanks for the clip, Mikey!

Amar El Sheree3e

Hello Fine People

Thank you Mike  for that clip of Amar. he is one of the best and few oud players ever happened. sad how the clip has got keyboard in it , it is ver annoying but it would not be as bad if we were listenning to it live I guess.

I hope we can fine more of his solo oud clips soon.
