I have no idea how much he is asking for this oud, but I will say that I have had good experiences buying ouds from Cengiz Sarikus in the past. He is knowledgeable, and his ouds are original. If anything was modified on the oud, he is the first to tell you. My experiences with the man have all been very very good.
On his website, http://www.veyselmuzik.com, he gives the date as 1909. I wonder what the occaision was for this oud. The Young Turk revolution? If anybody finds out more, let us know.
