Professional Video Clips
Hello fine people,
This is the first clip I managed to convert from a video tape to WMA format.
ALL the THANKS should go to Greg and Greg only for all the comming
video clips. Greg supplied all the grears to help make it happen. I am sure as much as Greg did it for me he also did it for all of you guys so you
can enjoy the good arabic clips to come.
Here is one unique clip captured from (I believe the Opera House in Cairo) "the 7th arabic music fistival" It is amazing comedy/Tarab in a great takht
musical form...

Hey Emad,
These are some great clips. Safwan Bahlawan (the Abdel Wahab "clone") is pretty great in coming close to sounding like Abdel Wahab. I've heard a
number of people state that if they're not looking at the television when he comes on, they think it's Abdel Wahab singing.
Now, I'm a bit intrigued at what your next post will be. You say Adeeb Samaan. Is this the same Adib as http://www.adibsamaan.tk/? That'd be quite the treat, I tell you.
Looking forward to that and all the treats you're sure to have in store for us.

many thanks, megaupload is posing absolutely no problems.
by the way, strangely enough, I prefer the Safwan's voice to abdelwahab, I find it has a bit more grain, and easier production. (abdelwahab gives me
the the impression of struggling to produce tone, particularly in older recordings when he still had the old nasal way of singing).

In regards to Abdel Wahab, I was in Egypt last year and was in my uncle's car with the rest of my family, riding from Cairo to one of the new
development sites where they're making these great houses that are quite distant from the city. Anyway, the radio was on, and a song for Abdel Wahab
came on:

Needless to say, everyone in the car (all 5 people) immediately became quiet to listen to this. Granted, it's not a video, but I think you'll quickly
see the difference between Safwan and Abdel Wahab.
