"Ahbabina Ya 'Ein" Lyrics in Arabic
Hi All,
Does anyone know where I can find Arabic lyrics (and an English translation) to the song "Ahbabina Ya 'Ein" recorded by Farid El Atrache? I have
transliterated Arabic lyrics, but I need a nice clear copy of the Arabic original.

John

I don't know the song, but if you would send me the transliterated copy, I think I can write out the Arabic and the English translation.
Or maybe you can send me the song .. ?
Cheers ..

Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Here are the transliterated lyrics I have:
"Ahbabeina Ya Ein"
Ahabeina ya ein ma hom maaâna
Rohna wi rahou aanna
Ma haddi minna tehanna
Eini ya eini
Ahbabeina bil-rooh garou aaleina
Ya hal tara fi balehom walla nisouna
Rohna wi rahou aanna
Ma haddi minna tehanna
Eini ya eini
Fi kolli yom yizeed sho-i ilehom
Roh ya nassim bil-layl sallim aaleihom
Nifsi ashoufhoum marra
Dil forga soaaba wu mourra
Eini ya eini
I have a really poor quality printout of the Arabic lyrics I (think I) got at Wissam Noujeim's Farid site (now defunct ). I printed it out, but was too stupid to save in on my hard drive. I am looking for
something I can print, paste, photocopy, etc. for a teaching session about the relationship between Arabic and Jewish music.
Ma'asalaama,
Udi John

I haven't had the chance yet to hear the song, so I've worked on the transliteration right away.
I'd imagine my translation to English is pretty crude.
Let me know if I can be of more use.

Hello freinds
Before doing any translation!!
In the second part of the song, Farid says Billahi ( By god) and not Bil-layl ( in the night)
Best

Marhaba Amtaha,
Thanks so much for the Arabic & English translation!!!!
Hassan: If the song says, Billahi (by G-d) instead of Bil-layl (in the night), how would you correct the English translation, "O, fly night’s
breeze and greet them." "O, fly G-d's breeze and greet them."?
Thanks again for all your help!!!
Ma'asalaama,
John

Hi John,
We could translate it by: " By God, O breeze, "fly" and greet them!" Or: " O breeze, by God, say to them hello!" or even: "O breeze, please, say to
them hello!"
Just try to lesten again the song! Of course I am be wrong!
good luck any way!
