Shehata oud
Yesterday, I had an oportunity to play Maurice Shehata oud (for the first time) with 1 Elliptical Soundhole – Normal Bridge and I was very surprized
how good it this instrument! Very easy to play and very warm sound. Extraordinary!

did you play on abo alaa oud's from baka el garbia?
if yes, what is your opinion?
i didn't play on Maurice Shehata oud but i played on abo alaa oud and they are good oud's.

The Shehata oud is not mine. I have Kamil Mwez oud, but friend of mine has the Shehata oud that our teacher Michael Maroun brought for her from
Mourice. I think that it costed around 1000$+-?
Abu Alla oud, another friend has it, and it is soooo good! It is "chello"!!! The work is so perfect and the sound as well.
It is so confusing! The moment I got my Kamil oud that is also very good I started to "get in touch" with a lot of perfect instruments.
In my oppinion this specifis Shehata oud has very sweet, & soft sound, it's hard to stop playing it, and Abu Alla oud is very powerfull! I thing
oud player should have each of them! The two of them are liker queen & king.  )

i have the same problem, i have 2 ouds one fom yaroub mohamed fadel 2003 like monir basher. the second is mohamed fadel oud 1985
i like to have more than one good oud
i want one from abo alaa and one from shehata and one from botrus bishara, but mony is the problem, i hope some day i will have good collection of
oud's
i hope you will enjoy playing all the time
