Reccomend me some Longas to learn

I have been working on Longa Sabbough and would like to learn some others. My record collection is seriously lacking for Longas so can anyone reccomend some good ones and, if possible, direct me to sheets or recordings if you have them.

Thanks

For Turkish scores check http://www.neyzen.com/nota_arsivi.htm
Plenty of longas and semais there.

Nihavend Longa by Tatteos is pretty much a standard.

Thanks jshead I would appreciate it. I'm working on Nihavend Longa right now. The notes aren't too hard but, as always, making it beautiful is the problem hehe

Lots of great ideas here thanks guys. Maybe I'll start threads for some other forms so we can share sheets of our favorites.

I've worked on Longa Farahfaza, it's probably one of my favorite oud pieces. You should post the sheet here so everyone can see it

Here are my recommendations:
1-Refik Fersan's Sultaniyegah Sirto (my childhood favorite)
2-Sadi Isilay's Sultaniyegah Sirto
3-Kevser Hanim's Nihavend Longa
4-Santuri Ethem Efendi's Sehnaz Longa
5- Sukru Tunar's Hicaz Oyun Havasi
You can access the sheets to all of these pieces at turkmusikisi.com. Click on "Nota Arsivi" (it's written with small fonts in the middle, the big banner on the top takes you to another site), then click on Longas etc.
You can make midis of these by putting the sheet music on "nota" software where you can get for free at hamparsum.net. nota is the best sotware I could find on the internet to write Turkish music on the computer. And it is free thanks to the developer.

By the way, if you want to learn longas and sirtos, you may want to purchase Turkish master kanun player Goksel Baktagir's Longalar and Sirtolar CD. He, Yurdal Tokcan and other fine musicians are playing in that CD the most of the pieces we are talking about here.

basically it has 2 beats to the measure. It is a dance type music. generally played quickly.
