Huseyni taksim on tanbur by me
Hi everyone,
I decided to try recording myself today playing Huseyni taksim with the idea of seeing, well, what happens when I play husyeni taksim. after a couple
takes i realized how much wanking i was doing and how i really needed to pay more attention to the seyir and to playing clearer phrases.
dunno why i haven't been doing this for the past year. man, it's really hard not to wank.
so here's my most simple taksim. I really went for getting the seyir for huseyni correct (i think it's close) and i didn't play meyan or anything
fancy.
ANY feedback, positive or negative is greatly appreciated.
best,
Adam

Adam,
I am primarily a folk musician so my technical knowledge of the maqams is limited. However I have to say that your playing on this taqsim is
BEAUTIFUL!!
Very soulful and unpretentious. Nice...thanks so much for sharing it with us!
