His tremelo towards the end of the first taqsim video is incredible. I know plenty of classical guitarists who would kill to have that kind of speed
with their fingers, let alone with a risha.

Could you give us some tips on how you developed your tremelo? Did you come up with any exercises that seemed to help a lot?

Mav, your words mean a great deal to me. I hope you know that.
Jason, when I started to play that tremolo you're talking about, I couldn't figure out how people played it so quickly. Listening to most of the last
parts of Farid's taqsims will let you hear that tremolo, which I know is 10000 and more times better than mine. I'm not sure if this is how people
play it, but this is what I came up with...
(I'm assuming you're asking about how I keep the tremolo and manage to hit the lower notes while maintaining...)
Maintaining the high C, I hit another string... as I'm coming back to the high C, I hit it as a downstroke, then a quick upstroke to maintain the
tremolo. I'm assuming this is how it's done. It took me a bit of time to figure out how to quickly get that downstroke down, but it's not that bad.
If that's not the question you have, please let me know. The general tremolo just comes with practice... lots of practice.

Thanks for the help TP, one more quick question. Are you hitting the lower notes with a downstroke? Making the stroke down (low) down (c) up (c). I
know you can probably do it either way but just trying to get a point of reference to work from.

Hey Jason,
Yes, the lower register notes are hit with a downstroke for a stronger effect. For me, practicing this allowed me to become much more comfortable with
the distances between the strings. It helps when you're trying to go from one sting to another semi-distant string without too much effort. Let me
know if you have any questions. I'll do my best to answer them, but I tell you, there are incredibly skilled players here on this forum that could
answer questions far better than I can. But I'll do my best.
