Gorgeous instrument. Is it tuned in the standard Iraqi tuning, with the additional bass being C or D?

Double Wow -- a beautiful work of art. Fantastic work on the bowl, just letting the wood do the talking. Sweet choice on the neck, and the neck/body
joint is sweet. Lovely bound pegbox, meticulous pegs, cool looking top -- elegant understated rosette, cool cutaway, and a killer looking bridge --
they are indeed masters. The oud's a kockout dude, as my parents used to say -- enjoy it in good health !! Thanks for sharing the photos.
Cheers...PaulO

Thank you Gentlemen
The photographer of these pictures is saad Al Tayyar, he definitely knows how to take pictures for very reflective ouds.
the tuning is the standard Iraqi, and for the bass it takes both C or D with no problems if the right string is used with proper tension.

This is definitely a gorgeous oud.
I think that the design's that the tayyar brothers make are very elegant, and even though simpler than the designs of traditional arabic oud, they
might be even more accepted by and appealing to the Western listeneres and music enthusiasts.
Perhaps more and more Arabic ouds should look this way, as trying to appeal to other cultures, without loosing the arabic/eastern essence will greatly
improve this instrument.
