Hi all, it's been a while since i posted anything, so here's one of my compositions. It's a live recording from a concert I did last year, so the
quality is not that great (the mic was too close to the oud, so it's really loud and distorts in spots).
It's in maqam ushshaq masri (not the same as the Turkish makam Ussak).

Thanks for sharing Brian. In my view, you have the most authentic sound of any non middle-eastern-born oud player I have heard. To my (non
middle-eastern-born) ear your embellishments are perfect. I regularly listen to your taksim on Tarazza and it is pure tarab.
