hello everyone,
i am posting these turkish lyrics with the hope that any of our turkish speaking friends can help me with a translation...i know this is very long and
i am asking a lot, but i love this song and i cannot find a translation anywhere. it is from the album by the armenian group 'knar' and is in
curcuna. the song is from diyarbakir. thank you all in advance for any help.

strange coincidence - my group just learned and started playing this last night after a customer requested it. Seems timely with all the Hrant
Dink-related goings on in Istanbul at the moment...
Not enough time at the moment for me to do a proper translation, and it will be a bit difficult since some of the words (meskanimiz, pirothana) are
not in modern Turkish usage, but will try to look into this in the next few days. The line "ne durmussan dag basinda ay gibi" - what if you stayed at
the mountain top like the moon - is particularly nice.

thank you for your reply, i look forward to more info on these lyrics...anyone else out there have time to try? 'what if you stayed at the mountain
top like the moon'...very beautiful!i enjoy playing the song very much and i hope to sing it with full comprehension of the meaning. thank you again

Nothing to do with but i like this turkish sentence
"evimin batchesinden mutluluk eksik olmasin"
(sorry the speling which is more phonetica than correct turkish)

It's a beautiful song and moreso than lyrics, I wish I knew the history of the song. So many Armenians and Turks know so little about one of the few
things we share so much- music, even songs.
