They are also announcing in their newsletter that "We are pleased to announce our first show in 2008 which will be held in Amsterdam on Sunday
February 3rd at the Melkweg. This concert is part of a unique musical event entitled: SONIC RESISTANCE organized by "De Levante" (Eastwind) a young
foundation that promotes Oriental Art and Culture in the Netherlands. Most importantly, Checkpoint 303 will be performing for the first time alongside
the outstanding Ramallah Underground collective, the talented artist John Kameel Farah and the eclectic DJ Takimi in an evening that will showcase
contemporary electronic music out of and dealing with the Palestinian hope and quest for peace and justice.
Checkpoint 303 will be the guest of the program "Café des Artistes" next Tuesday January 15th on the Paris-based Radio BEUR FM from 8 to 9 pm.

on est invités pour jouer mais il s'agit de la première édition d'un festival du cinéma tunisien, pour les lieux je n'ai pas encore d'idées
précises.. je te tiendrais au courant si tu veux, pour le festival "musiciens pour la palestine"
ça va se tenir le 7 fevrier à angers et j'y serai aussi (ça va être sympa j pense),

Je peux pas venir le 7 à Angers, dommage, chaque année j'aimerais bcp venir au festival "musiciens pour la palestine" avec Al Kamandjati. Le top
serait que ce festival devienne itinérant, ou "polycentrique".
Stp pourras tu poster d'autres infos sur ce festival au forum??
Pareil pour Checkpoint303 à Paris, si tu peux poster des infos sur leur concert et le festival de cinema tunisien à Paris....
Je ne trouve rien sur internet pour l'instant.
Et puis, si jamais mon boulot à Paris se confirme, je t'enverrai un u2u, pour qu'on essaie de se joindre la bas.

Dommage, je ne serai à Paris que le 26 ou 27 mars jusqu'au 30-31/mars. Au plaisir de se revoir peut être à Paris fin mars.

Checkpoint 303 performing in Washington DC this Friday
Checkpoint 303 (Palestine/France/Tunisia) will perform an electronic/dj set this friday in Washington DC this Friday November 21st, 2008!
It's an electronic/dj set, so probably not much live Oud playing (not sure), but worth checking out if you're in the area, if you like the
eletronic+oud fusion and would like to support the message for justice and peace in Palestine.
Checkpoint 303 compositions are a mixture of middle-eastern breakbeats, improvised acoustics and experimental field recordings.
Checkpoint 303 has opened for some Massive Attack concerts in the UK and France in 2007 and 2008 and has performed in many countries including
Australia, Japan, Canada, Palestine, Tunisia, France, Sweden, etc.
