Maqam Lessons

This isn't oud-specific, but my good friend Sami Abu Shumays is offering maqam lesson podcasts. You can get the first 7 lessons for free through the itunes store by searching for "maqam" in podcasts, or by going here:

The later lessons are for sale as mp3 downloads.

Even though Sami plays violin, the material is valuable for oud players or anyone interested in taqasim.
