Saz in Istanbul

Hi everyone, I hope this topic is not off-topic for this forum. By the way...

I'm going to Istambul and I think I'll buy a saz somewhere there, but O know very little about saz. I know there are a lot of sizes, tunings and types...

I play medieval music, and with my ensemble we play a lot with a D as drone, so I use the oud in the standard arabic tuning (c-g-d-a-g-d) because it sounds very well in D.

Have you any suggestione about a saz (or baglama...) that i can buy? It should have some D string to use as drone and some A or G string too...
Do you know a place in Istanbul where I can go to look for it? It's my first saz, so I don't want it to be too expensive. I like very much simple designed instruments with little ornamentations...
I'm also planning to buy a cheap oud for one of my ensemble friends, so I think I'll look for a shop wich sells saz and ouds.

Thank you!
