Dear Friends
I am glad to invite you to my lecture:"Oud manufacturing between past and present"
In Kaslik University at Jounieh Lebanon at 22th of June 6.30PM.
The main ideas :
1-Oud's History and importance
- - - The Oud is the origin of all European stringed instruments
2-Manufacturing of Oud
- - - Wood – principal rules - Aesthetic (Golden number) and acoustic relations
3- Oud's Sound
- - - Measurements - Shape - Matter - Varnish-Strings - Humidity-Rishas (splectre)

Greetings bro mike,
It happend today I was browsing your web pages admiring each one of your master pieces, and also came across the lecture notes and thought of how
wonderfull it will be to attend such an event. But sadly ones is so busy over here and the schedule is so very soon, but hopefuly one day will be able
to meet you in person.
I add my voice to the dearest Mike and request if at all possible, to post us some of the lecture materials in video or audio which I am certain it
will shed light on many of the oud aspects discussed here on a daily basis. and will be of great help and guidance for the mass.
And also I would like to ask about the book mentioned on the web site if its ready for people to buy, and if yes how can we get copies of the book, is
it available directly from yoursef or some other outlet.
