Who made this oud?
Hello everyone. I have a question about and oud which bought roughtly 6 months ago. I really like the sound, butThe action is on the high side, but it
sounds great. I have pictures posted. Can anyone please tell me who made this oud? I have a picture of the label inside the bowl as
well....translation please??

The first label says:
Tharwat Saber
Oud specialist
The second label (perpendicular) says
Al-Tayyeb
Al-Tayyeb is a Tharwat's nickname and could be translated into "the well-meaning and kind"
.. Looking good .. :-)
Hope you can let us know what it sounds like and that you can tell us how you got it.

I actually found it on craigslist (http://www.craigslist.com, they have ouds up for sale pretty often). I bought it from a guy in Berkley with a beat up hard case for very cheap.
I will post an audio clip at some point. Can anyone tell around when this was made? It doesn't look old, but you never know. Thanks again.
