Any Oud Players In Tokyo?
Hello from Tokyo,
I'm a bouzouki/santoor player who has just started learning to play Oud. I've always loved the sound and am very happy to have found this site! Thanks
Mike!
I'm wondering if there are other Oud fans in Tokyo on this site? If so please get in touch. I am also an ethnic music and dance events planner. Our
events are modest events with performers who love to play and who are hoping to create a strong community of people who love and support ethnic
perfomance.
If you're in Tokyo and would like to jam, or join our event, please get in touch. And if you are a teacher in Japan, please also get in touch as we
have a few eager people who would like to learn to play.
Thanks for reading!!

Hi Tkoind,
I recommend this Japanese oud player,
Hiroshi Nagashima.
He is great.
I saw his gig in Tokyo. His play is very original, and
not limited to Arabic traditional music, although he has a detailed knowledge such as maqam.
And he does not wear Arabic traditional costume,
but true to real Arabic culture in his heart.
Check this out.
