Sandii ouds.
While I was up in Mendocino California I went to The Lark In The Morning warehouse and was lucky enough to be able to try out several Sandii ouds. I
had never played one. I was surprised at how well made and how good they sounded. And it wasn't the top of the line, the most expensive oud that
sounded the best. And they all were in the "good sounding" range, regardless of grade. Not a bad one in the lot. There were a few very minor cosmetic
pick guard problems but nothing drastic. If anyone thinks the only way to get something that sounds good is to pay $2500. for it then think again.
Check out the Sandii website. It's in Turkish but you'll get the idea. D.L.

Sandi
I agree with you. I have two of them. Check them out in the pictures forum (shared files).
The decorated one has a low action and sounds exceptional. It belonged to my teacher Mimi Spencer, and it was picked for her by ustaz Nejati Celik.
The other one is "ordinary" but very nice, and it has some history too.
Check them out.
