hey Ronnie, nice to finally put a face to the name! Been reading all your postings in the forum with interest and now here you are on youtube. Great
playing too! I like the use of the fingers and risha on this number, works well to create that particular mood on this Bashir improv. Can you tell us
a bit about that floating bridge oud you are playing on? thanks buddy, looking forward to more.

wow. Ronnie-
wonderful piece- I have the original Bashir recording (which is genius) and man, you really touched on something there- the emotion in those maqam(at)
really shine through- your improvisation is perfectly simple yet extremely dynamic- dude, sorry to blow your head up, but something about that
Bashiri/Iraqi style gets me all nuts... haha, keep it up brother- one love

Hello
I join the others to say that it's more than beautiful playing: U feel it and u are able to transmit this feeling; it's simply great...
Go for more, and keep it natural

Thanks Matthew! The oud is built by Fawzy Monshed who is with Yaroub Fadel my two favourite makers of floating bridge ouds. There are many makers
building this kind of oud but I find a majority of them very poor sounding and actually sounds more like classical ouds with glued bridge. Is more
than copy a design to build this sort of oud and is worth to observe that both Yaroub and Fawzy are excellent oud players. Yaroub studied oud in
Baghdad and Fawzy had an ensemble for classical Arabic music. Both builders ouds have a very unique ¨voice¨ that is typical for them and distinguish
them from all other makers and no wonder why their works are being copied.
Best wishes

Thanks Tarik and dandana! I really appreciate your kind words! There are extremely few compositions buy Bashir being played by musicans and I am
influenced by him since I picked up the oud. Off course his works are not for the majority of players when his risha technique is very advanced and
many of his compositions are very difficult.
Best wishes

Ronny,
That was beautiful. That was a lovely piece that reflects a bit of Bashir style and grace. Can't wait to hear and see more.

Ronny, my Fadel is doing well. Thanks for asking. Suffers from bad player but outside of that I do play it often.
