Ouds in Dallas
Shabat Shalom
By the of next week (16-20/9) ill be in a convention in Dallas.
I was trying to find music stores with ethnic instruments over the net -with no great success - ouds especially and maybe oud cd's (its very hard to
find in Israel) .
I would appreciat help.

I think is easyer found a good oud in Israel.
I think there are some oud players and oud fans from Israel in this forum...

Regarding CDs:
The biggest Arab and Middle Eastern communities in the USA are in Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and these are where the better Arab
(and Persian, Armenian, etc.) music stores tend to be.
You can always surf the internet looking for Arabic groceries (some Arab-American groceries have a fairly good CD collection)--there are some in the
Dallas area. There is web page for an Arabic band (mostly Western instruments), "Layali," based in Dallas. You could always ask them about Arabic
music shops in the Dallas area.
My best suggestion is to look for on-line distrubutors in North America, Europe, and Turkey, who have postal contact with Israel. Here are some:
