Thanks to SamirCanada, I have a new project

I now have

One Syrian OUd with a warped fingerboard and a horrible varnish job

A selection of sandpapers

A file

A tin of gloss finish varnish

I'm off to the cellar

whoa!!!!! ... stop !!!! ... whoa!!! ...

please take it from me - one who has been there. whatever you do to your (i assume, cheapie, syrian oud) won't be anything like what an experienced luthier will do if given half the chance.

experience and knowledge really counts. i promise, you won't be disappointed. please check out the following thread:

best wishes - bill
