just returned from a gig in castiglion fiorentino (near arezzo) where we played with a really excellent player of tabor pipe and drum (and spanish
gaita.) as we were playing and strolling through the streets you could see that he - the tabor player (not wholly familiar with the oud) - really
appeciated the complimentary sound of the oud. he carried the melody, mostly, while i filled in with basso continuo.
