Selling My Ghadban Oud

I am considering selling my Ghadban oud - although I have a lot of reservations. The only reason I am considering selling it is that its been in the case for 3 months, I can only play one oud at time, and I barely have time time for one. I have no interest in being an oud collector. I believe an oud should have a happy home with and an owner who can give it the love and attention it needs. So I am not really selling it, I'm putting it up for adoption :)

There are pics here:

You can hear it here:

It's my cousin playing it. There's also a couple tracks of me playing. Sorry, no discount if you can guess which track is me :)

It's a great oud. Plays nice, arabic sounds, great action, stays in tune. Everything you would want out of an oud. The oud is in excellent condition, but with some minor scratches on the face. I've taken very good care of this oud.

Technical specs:

It comes with Ghadban's hard case and soft gig bag (the kind with the padding on the inside).

Price $1200 (firm). Includes insured shipping to anywhere in the continental US. If you are outside the US, we can work something out. Don't worry I'll make it will get there safely - I love this oud.

NOTE: I reserve the right to refuse to sell to any buyer. I want to make sure this oud gets in the right hands.

Great looking oud samzayed... I'd love to buy it but I would feel guilty owning two Ghadbans and only being able to play one at a time. :) I hope you can find a home for the oud. What is your main oud by the way?

Hi Samzayed -

I've always loved that oud. I have a picture of it on my computer between a Nahat and a Rapakousios. Interested. What is the width measurement at the nut?

The magic number. I will let you know about buying it after I run it past my wife.
"Another oud?!" You know how that is. We should probably use the U2U feature for details if it happens. Wish me luck. Lintfree

I've decided to drop the price on this oud to $1050. This includes a soft and hard case. And, shipping within the US

Thanks Sam,

The oud has finally got here, along with a bill for Import Duty and VAT (sales tax) but what the hell - its all safe and sound which is the main thing. I've just tuned it up and starting the process of getting to know each other. "Health to wear" as they say here.

More soon no doubt.

BTW I have now registered as Bernie Stocks for the third time - I keep getting dropped after a week or so.
