Ahmad Abdallah
Hey everyone. I have this CD a friend gave me and I love the music and apparently this guy is a famous oud player. On the CD it says "Ahmad
Abdallah," but everytime I put this name into Google or some search engine, all I get are responses concerning a most-wanted terrorist. Can somebody
help me out with this mystery? I'd really like to know more about this guy, as I love his music.
Thanks/Shukran

I had the honnour in my life to meet a great man called Ahmad Abdallah. He was an egyptian doctor (cambridge university) on political sciences, a
social and political activist, a prolific writer and again a wise man. He used to share with us generously his vasts knowledges and could sing
hundreds of songs whith such an enthousiasm.... A tremendous loss.
He sadly passed away this year. We will allways remember him.
Apparently there is an oudist with same patronymics.
Pls Kenny can you scan the jacket of yr cd and post here??

Don't be surprised Kenny, oud may become very soon a suspicious instrument, being an oud player is not a proof of innocence.
Marcel Khalife was on an american tour recently, the security "welcome" was not really warm and his concert in SanDiego was cancelled.
Marcel said:
*Once I come to the airport, you feel a certain difference in treatment, in the negative, not positive sense. Once our names are checked in the
computer, the computer reacts unnaturally. They isolate us inside rooms and questions are asked which have to do with our very humanity. ... the
identity that you have become grounds for accusation."
