Hi Samir- to help us to get a grip on this beautiful maqam, would the maqam of the month Hijaz Kar include all of its transposed versions as listed here?:
http://www.maqamworld.com/maqamat/hijaz-kar.html

Thanks!

yah thats good...
any of those work.
the idea is to develop improvisation skills and if that means to flow towards transpositions during the taqasim its fine. It should re-establish the feel of the maqam at the end though.

Bravo and aaleyki asSalam ya Massiouna! It the first time I have the chance to hear a Russian Hijaz kar maqam ! Original and personal style, very light. You could put it much more bass answers if like so, because you climb high with your f string in more . Your Sada arrouaH sounds good, interesting tessitura ! Cia-ciao signore tremolo.
