music playing in your dreams
does anyone have music playing in their head as they sleep?
having gone from people making music with fresh vegetables to hackneyed and inaccurate opinions concerning the u.s. in my last thread ... i wonder
where this will end up?

"hackneyed" was tough for me, my dictionary told me it is "rebattu" (for the french speaking guys who, like me, didn't get it)
This is the "hackneyed" music that I still can't get out of my head when I DREAM of a better humanity.

(I know that I should get a shrink help to stop having this kind of dreams, I am trying to concentrate on Golden Mean and old manuscripts but Bill,
you keep opening very sensitive political issues like vegetables and dreams)
For other kind of dreams, I use a different music....but this is another story.

A very quick list of some "hackneyed and inaccurate" musicians which makes me dream on justice.

touché ... but i suspect you will be better served with a better dictionary: "hackneyed" has more to do with "cliché" than "rebattu" - which i take
to mean "worn out" rather than "well worn."
one who sleeps with "the international" in their dreams is a hopeless romantic - bienvenue, mon frere - but as for me ... this morning i woke with
this in mind:

I woke up in a cold sweat today having just dreamt of the Lakers losing in overtime to the Phoenix Suns. No music in my dreams Bill.
By the way, next time I travel abroad, I'll remember to cash in on the welcome hug and kiss from the customs officers. What a joke. Khalife wishes
politicians would listen to music. Well, sometimes I wish musicians would just play their lovely music. Sometimes it's painful to have to listen to
them speak.

whoa!!! ... fantastic - someone phone nashville!
i've been trying to improve something mandolinists call "crosspicking." this comes in two different "flavors": duuduudu (a reverse roll - strings
42342343) or dduddudu (forward roll strings 43243243.) should i master it, i figure it will be useful for the oud as well.
last night i went to bed moving my hand to this pattern, imagining the sound it would make. i gave up on the hand movement pretty quickly - after my
wife made a "what in the world are you doing with your hand under the covers?" type noise (mortified smiley symbol).
it's too early in the am to pick up my mandolin now but i doubt there's been an improvement.
there must be a way to impose learning on the subsconscious - new tunes, difficult passages, etc. - so as to speed the process up.

Humm Charlie, I would not see it before going to bed! I prefer bounce on
this link, in hope that it will help me to stop dreaming many times of my Shehata explosed even more by sordid way ... as a door window pushed by air
currents, or a drop from my mezzanine,etc...
At the opposite of Jameel, it is a relief when I wake up!
