I have downloaded a oud piece some months ago and I want to know its maqam.

from what i can tell he is playing a bit of bayati on D at first but then he goes to something like the major scale on G. so Ajam on G i guess.
Iam not sure if Iam right either but I have a feeling its that.

yes, I think Samir got it, it starts out in D, sounds like Bayati, and then I hear it going into maqam Ajam in G ( G major scale) for most of the
number. It sounds like it possibly goes into a bit of a maqam Nahawand in G (G minor) at the very end, not sure as it is a short modulation and then
ends... nice playing whoever it is.

Heard a bayat in the beginning then it switched to something between ajam and rast. Like ajam where the natural b looks more like a half bemol b, or a
rast where the b half bemol looks more like a natural b. It also seems that in the Rast has the last word, the conclusion (afleh) is made from some
rast notes. I heard no nahawand, only a few notes which are in fact in the middle of the maqam bayat. Really cool exerpt!

the original file (before re-encoding) was named assirem_oud.mp3 and the artist is "aziz boulaaroug".
I will try to practice to imitate this taqseem which is simple and very beautiful.
