Oud stand
Hi all,
i'm in search for a stand for my oud. Standard guitar stands for sale here in italy are not exactly good. What model do you use? Where i can buy it
online?
Thanks

Hi PeppeOud
Have you tried contacting Jameel? Because I remember he was making these fantastic oudstands, but I'm not sure if it was a one off, or if it was
something he was going to sell through his webiste. Worth a try

I quit making these due to time constraints. I may start up again when I get some more time, maybe later this year. They will most likely be simpler
design and/or material as these were solid wood and required lots of pattern cutting and sanding, very time consuming, and dangerous with the tooling
involved. If you to try to make your own, take a look at the sandwich top post I made (My Next next oud) there are some pics there of the stand.

these wooden stands work quite well for oud:
silver creek stand
you just put the face toward the stand rather than the back. the parts that cradle the instrument are lined with cork so they don't scratch the
insrument. 3 legs - hard to tip over, and the backward incline makes sure the oud doesn't fall out.
