Damascus

Hi
Thank you everybody for all the things about ouds we can learn here; I'm planning to go to Damascus with a friend who's learning arab, I'd like to go there to learn oud with some people.
Some members seems to know Syria and Damascus; so it will be great to know your opinions about this project, this town...
Will it be easy to find a good teacher there?
If you have any information.
Thanks a lot
antoine

Hi,
Thanks for the answers.
Does The Aoud Conservatory of Damascus have a website?
We'll stay in there more than a month.
I play oud since one year and a half.
I had some courses with two good players in France.
I can play tunes like nahawand longa, samai chad araban, samai hijaz kar kurdi, aziza, longa farahfaza, hijaz mandra...
But it don't shows you how I can play!
No doubt that I'm a beginner, but I play every day since I have my instrument and really want to learn it.
If you are a oud teacher, you can give me your adress or/and phone number to meet us when we'll be in Damas
Bye
antoine
