Mulberry carving body


Hello guys
Dr .Cengiz master have carved stump mulberry a oud body .
it's heavy 750 gr and stump is very dry and my father will make very special oud for english musician .so I will write it's finish solution .

That's going to look fantastic when it's polished up. Don't fancy having to carry it around London on the tube though. And your father must be quite patient with a gouge. I'd be fascinated to hear what it sounds like. It certainly works very well for iranian setar and tanbur. It looks like the neck will also be part of the one-piece body? Please post the finished item and sound clips when it's ready.

Hı ararat66 the bowl is to be a hard it sound is to be very nice because it's have finished one kg.and my father will use 1500 pieces mother of pearl and caretta , ivory . it' have be decoration full ottoman's .:D

Dear Veysel.
Very interesting and a master of art. According to experiences mulberry works and sounds very well for saz, sitar and partly for tanbur. I'm wondering how will it work for ud. Whatever she sounds, she will look pretty after the touch of the hands of a master.

Indeed iit was a lot of work. 15 years ago,I made an oud like that and I was surprised about the nice sound .Now I tray to improve the same model.
