Who is Tatios Afandi?
Hi guys,
I'm currently working on learning "Semai Tatios"..
I tried searching around to learn who Tatios is, but nothing showed up anywhere..
Any information about this Tatios?

You are asking about Tatyos Ekserciyan (1858-1913), also called Tatyos Efendi by the Turks, a famous Armenian composer of the Ottoman empire from
Ortakoy in Istanbul. There is much information available about this genious composer and violin master. Tatyos also played the kanun. Which semai
are you learning? Tatyos wrote many, and they are all masterpieces. Good luck and I hope this helps.
