Rosettes & sound
Hey All, I'm wondering if anyone has noticed a difference when the rosette is removed from the oud. I recently found the rosette on my Sukar oud had
come loose, when I removed it I noticed an improvement in sound, louder , cleaner, more full. The oud was already to my satisfaction so I was
delighted to hear even further improvement and, for the time being, have decided to not to put the rosette back. I miss the attraction but feel
rosettes may have an inhibiting effect on the overall sound. Has anyone else noticed this?.
