Baron Rudolpah D'erlanger

I have part of his book that he translated from Farabi (or is it someone else I forgot), the part uploaded here which shows various maqams by scale and seyir. Does anyone have access to other parts of his book? I am very curious to read them, hopefully not in french..

Id be would love to get hold of a copy too, in English or in French. I think it's out of print so if someone has a pdf it should be possible to post it.

Thanks suz. I downloaded the IMA catalogue but no d'Erlanger translation. There's a book on al-Farabi called "La cite virtueuse d'al-Farabi" by Muhsin Mahdi, but I think this is only on political philosophy. Any other leads?

I'll post the catalogue in another thread - as well as the publication it contains the IMA's excellent series of recordings which might be of interest to other forum members.

Yes, indeed the books are not in the catalogue.
But you can directly send email to the bookstore, I am sure the books are still edited. I order from them volume 5 and 6 a few months ago.
The title in french is " la musique arabe" , de Rodolphe d'Erlanger.
Those are the volumes with transcription of music pieces and various seyir for many maqamat. Just a remark, a teacher recommend me more to learn maqamat and taqasim by the listening of recordings.
I don't remind exactly other volumes but one is a translation of the music treaty from al Farabi, but more useful for the work of musicologist than for the practice.
