moroccan shopping trip
I'm off to Morocco this autumn and would like to pander to my Instrument Acquisition Syndrome. I'll be in Marrakesh and Essaouira. 
Does anyone know where to go for reasonably made traditional instruments in either of those cities?

Hello,
at the end of june I've been for one week in Essaouira. I visited the Gnaouwa Festival there. Btw, if you plan a trip again, you should make this trip
during that festival, it's really great. Have a look at the website:

About a shop in Marakesh I can't say anything, as there I've been only for one night. but in Essaouira there is a little nice real music shop, not
only a tourist shop, as the owner is himself a instrument maker. He makes the gembri, the traditional instrument of the gnaouwa music. The shop is in
the " Av. Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah" street, not far away from the Hammam. His name is Belcaid Abdel.
Have a nice time in Essaouira.
