i think the maker may be Mohamad Fadel, Yaroub's father. I'm not a 100% sure but i saw a video where they did a close up of the center soundhole
where you could kinda make out the label. Also i think he's had this oud for a long time, Ali Hassan was a student of Munir Bashir, and Fadel made
most of the ouds for them.
Its probably best to email him and find out for sure though.

The maker is definately Mohammad Fadel. This particular oud is one of 9 or 10 ouds made of the same batch for the late Munir Bashir band named "Al
Bayariq" upon his request. Those ouds were made around 1984-1986. I know where 5 of those ouds are exactly now.
They are all made of Indian Rosewood, the 21 ribs lined with lemon wood.
Regards,
O.P.

Hello Todda,
I think too that it is a Mohammed Fadel oud, that it is the model that Munir Bashir played himself and all the members of the groop "Al Bayrak" that
Munir Bashir founded with and for his students. I've seen another video with Ali Hassan where he plays such an instrument which I've seen at other
players as Raed Koshaba and Marcel Khalife who play them too.
The only thing that gives me doubts are the fact, that it looks a bit too new for a 20 year old instrument.
By the way, I made such an instrument last year. I's a copy of the instrument of Raed Koshaba ( from 1986 ). You can see an hear this model here:

Would be interested what you all think about this.
Regards Matthias

Thank you Matthias for your web link.
I was not able to listen to the sound files - when you link to it, it gives an error message that the file can not be found.
I do however very much like the lute on your home page.
It is quite an incredible instrument.
I thank all the members who have helped and always provide an outstanding resource for any oud lover.
